The Latest News for Those Curious about My Health

When I first announced back in April that I have a new health challenge on the horizon in the form of prostate cancer, many people expressed interest in staying informed about my progress and I promised to post updates here on my blog on a consistent basis.

In my last update, I mentioned that my cancer is localized and has not spread.  That is still true as of today.

Over the last several months, I have been on a holistic health protocol involving a very specialized diet, eliminating toxins and avoiding foods which stress or depress my immune system.

As a result, I have lost almost 30 pounds (above is a photo of me prior to changing my diet ; below is a photo of me now)!  I want people to know that it is a healthy weight loss, monitored by my medical doctors, to help build my immune system and it is not because of any invasive protocol or directly related to the disease.

This month, I had another PSA test done which shows no change since the first of this year.  This is good news!  As long as the PSA remains stable or decreases, I will continue the current treatments and assess my condition while considering other options until I am advised by my doctors to take additional actions.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who is keeping me in their thoughts and prayers–your kindness is beyond appreciated by me.  Thank you.

  10. Dear Ivan, My best thoughts for you. I came upon a fantastic new product that can help. As far as I know you get the Excilium and Ganoderma capsules in Rooibos tea from South Africa (75% Aspalathus Linearis and 75% GL, the cereal with spirulina algae (an astronautical kind of food) and chocolate.

  11. Hi Ivan, Sending you and Beth love, prayers and Angel hugs as you go through this health journey together. Can’t believe it was 27 years ago or so sitting in your living room with your focus group. Where does the time go? You have made such a difference in so many lives and I am sure God has a lot more in store for you in the next 30 years. You look great! I just passed my 3 year pancreatic cancer conquerer milestone. How blessed we all are. Luv ya both

    1. Thanks Ruth. I’m glad you are doing well. It has been a very long time since those early days of the Board of Advisors! We still have the group today. That reminds me… it’s time to schedule another meeting with them.

  12. Ivan, glad to hear you’re doing well. My father had prostate cancer a few years ago. He’s considerably older than you but he’s doing well and is cancer free. Take care of yourself.

  13. Dr Misner, you are looking much better and I am glad that you are doing well. Glad to see you are using other methods to arrest the issue and I wish you well as I continue to keep you and your family in my prayers. I am looking forward to meeting you in the near future as I believe that you are an amazing human being. Take care.

  14. I find it great that you are taking responsibily for your health and just not leave it all to the doctors to bring you back to health.

I have read much in the past 30 years on what is required to protect my health, having a lot of family members who died from cancer. What we really can control is what we eat, bring into our house, what we put on our skin, and what we think.

Having a health protocol to remove toxins from your food with a specialized diet is tremendous to make a difference for your health and immune system. Two more things I would suggest you look into if you have not already done so. The first is monitoring and correcting your pH balance, that’s even more important because since we are a living enviroorganism we have to have a pH that is neutral. It’s so important that our blood pH need to be between 7,26 to 7,36 testing consistently might show you need to correct with with pH balancing supplement. Naturally food that help balance our pH is mostly vegetables rather than fruits, because that require more minerals than vitamins.
The next thing to consider is eliminating toxins that are used in your house, ie cleaning products and products you use on your skin. The worst offender is the product you use for the dishwasher, it has the same ingredients as Drano, it is very toxic and caustic and the vapors, since it is mixes with very hot water, is sent through a vent in the front that stays in the house. Go figure that a clothes dryer sending only humid air always is sent to the outside… Health is so precious, hope this helps! Céline from Québec.

  15. There are so many new procedures to treat this and I am so glad thing are positive and you are being proactive. There are thousands of people watching your posts and thankful to have the opportunity to keep you in our thoughts and sending positive energy your way. May the Lord continue to bless you.

  16. Dr. Misner, I’m glad to hear you are doing well/beter. I always tell cancer (and other) “survivors” that God is not through with them, yet, therefore, it may be a time where He longs to show you what else He has for you to do. I always recommend the book, “PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE” by Rick Warren. May this be a time for intimacy, w/your Heavenly Father, to richly increase. Proverbs 3:5-6.

  17. Still keeping you and Beth in my thoughts and prayers. You have changed so many lives and I know you will continue to do so for many more years. Sending lots of Angel Hugs your way:)

  18. I’d like to thank all of you for your well-wishes and prayers. I have read them all and I truly appreciate your thoughts.

    Ivan

    1. Too funny Phil. No photo shop was involved. However, the photo angle of the first photo makes it look a bit worse than it was.
