New Blog Series with Top Referral Marketing Trainer TR Garland!

In this video, TR Garland and I announce the launch of our new, 12-month, BusinessNetworking.com blog series  “Navigating the VCP Process® to Networking,”

TR is not only my good friend, he is one of the top referral marketing trainers in the world and he and I co-authored the #1 Amazon Best-seller Building the Ultimate Network together.  I am really excited to be doing this new blog series with TR because he is in the top 1% across the globe in regard to understanding how to implement referral marketing effectively and this series is going to be a huge resource for people in learning how to understand and  implement the VCP (Visibility, Credibility, Profitability) Process® effectively to produce real, business-boosting results from networking efforts.

Whether you’re a businessperson, an entrepreneur, a novice or seasoned networker, or simply someone who wants to learn, be sure to come back to this site on Monday (2/20/12) which is when we will be posting the first blog in the series!

So what do you think?  Are you as excited about this new series as TR and I are?  Leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts . . .

  1. It is both an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to co-contribute to this 12-month series with you (Dr. Misner).

I look forward to adding as much value to my local community of entrepreneurs and small business owners…as I do with entrepreneurs and small business owners from around the world.

    Be more than ordinary…

    TR Garland

    1. Great idea and although I’ve been implementing the concept for 5 years I look forward to learn some more. The moment you think you know it all is the moment you prove that you know very little…

      1. Clara. You noted that you’ve been “implementing the VCP Process for 5 years”. I’d be interested to hear what successes and/or challenges you’ve had bringing people ultimately to profitability.

      2. The challange is the economic situation has transformed most people in whiners (complain a lot but are not willing to do much about it) and hunters (go for the kill). I am a farmer, I believe in building relationships and Givers Gain. My biggest reward is living aligned with my values.

      3. Clara….again, thank you for your reply. Yes…the tough economic times have certainly put a damper on people’s mood. However, if you let THEIR moods dampen YOUR mood….forgive me, but shame on you. Since you are a Farmer and have been cultivating relationships, have you also been STRATEGICALLY planting seeds with the CORRECT people who can ultimately feed you a steady stream of referrals? If you need assistance on making sure you don’t get caught giving, giving, and giving without reaping your harvest…..then please feel free to contact me directly. I’d be happy to assist you. 🙂 🙂 🙂

      4. How timely! HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Make sure to get off of your computer…and spend some “you” time. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 :):)

  2. There is so much information out there that we all skim through every day but rarely with the clarification and focus it takes to apply it in our businesses! Definitely looking forward to this monthly blog! Thank you, TR, for your vision and truly being about helping others!

  3. TR is one of the best people I know who understands the VCP process and how to integrated it in the offline and online worlds. I’m very excited for him and for all the people he can help. In the end this helps us all since the better the people understand this process, the more we all benefit.

      1. Shaun. Thank you for GREAT question. The truth of the matter is that everyone should be applying the VCP Process(R) to BOTH their traditional Offline – as well as their Online Networking efforts. In theory, the concept is the same. Basically, it is our recommendation that you first strategically plan on how to get VISIBILITY online, then how do you move to Credibility, and finally to Profitability. I look forward to sharing as this blog series transpires. 🙂

  4. One more quality resource for maximizing the potential of building strong relationships and networking for success. I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts and sharing them with others.

  7. As the Education Coordinator of a chapter that is actively working to grow, I’m very excited to have this information. It’s terrific!

  8. Congratulations, TR! Since you are on a very short list of people I listen to closely (and without fail), the more the better… Oh, and after hearing Dr. Misner speak live a couple weeks ago, he made that list too. Very much looking forward to it.

    1. Scott…..I’m so excited to be on “The List”. LOL. On a serious note, I appreciate you considering Dr. Misner and I people who’s advice you turn to. Almost 30 years of Business Networking experience is a good place to look for help. 🙂

  9. Congratulations TR, this is terrific news! I have absolutely no doubt both you and Ivan will be adding even more value to all those networkers out there who are seeking to understand the VCP process in such depth. Looking forward to it.

  10. Congratulations TR and Dr. Misner!

    1. Wow! A comment, feedback AND support from Hungary. It is our honor Thomas to share with you our thoughts and strategies as it relates to “Navigating The VCP Process(R) To Networking”. Congrats on your longevity with BNI in Hungary.

  11. I thank TR for training us @Elite Circle about Business Networking based on referral, visibility, credibility and profitability!

  12. Dear Mr. Garland;
Thank you so much for you time and training.
Our great Elite Circle ended with a great training which help us with our line of work.
Hope to see you more in our office in Diamond Bar.

    1. Nili. You are TRULY a part of an Elite Circle. I’m happy to help. Please feel free to check out the other blogs posts here on the site. It’s loaded with valuable information.

  13. T.R. you continually bring value and skill into all of your relationships. Thank you for being my friend. I am looking forward to further success!

    1. Fred. It’s people like you that Dr. Misner and I are proud of. You know the true meaning of “Givers Gain” and we’re happy to have you as one of the Referral Institute’s Certified Networkers.

  14. T.R. thank you for the awesome training; I am especially grateful for the opportunity to learn from the best – the concepts you shared are priceless.

    1. Sandra…Thanks for your compliments. “Priceless” is the key word here. And…I say they are “priceless” in their APPLICATION. So please put the info we shared with you into APPLICATION and you will get world-class results!

  15. Hi T.R., Thank you for your training at Elite Circle. I learned alot and I look forward to learning more from you.

  16. I went to the Elite Circle in Diamond Bar training. I did not know what to expect, but for the first time I finally realized why my business was not growing as fast as I would like. It’s my Emotional Based Marketing Message and my Target Market. They are not complete, I stumble with them. I realized I need help as this is not my area of expertise. I want to get help with my message and my market so I can move people from visibility to credibility and then profitability. That wont happen unless I get more involved in the training.I don’t have alot of years to wait so I want to figure out how to get help. Tr you did a great job man. Thanks in advance for your support.

    1. Edward….detailed messages like yours are THE reason why Dr. Misner and I do what we do. Thank you. The fact that you have identified that your EBM or Emotionally Charged Connection (ECC) as well as defining YOUR Target Market as weak points in your game plan is half the battle. Looking forward to seeing what I can do to support you, my friend.

  17. In the video the statement I understand the VCP proccess I’m just not implimenting it or it’s not working for me. I think the biggest challenge with any type of training is taking it from learning understanding to doing understanding. It’s about learing and imlplimenting new habits while we are still taking care of business and the busyness of our daily lives. I have a lot on my plate and I’m not sure weather if I’m doing justice doing it half way with this new material or I should wait about 3 months.

    1. Clyde…We appreciate your feedback. And, you are bringing an important topic to light. Let me explain. From my perspective, the VCP Process to Networking is sort of like a “Universal Law” – or at least that’s how I look at it. I consider it to be that powerful because I’ve NEVER seen it fail…when applied correctly. It’s never the “process” itself or the tactics or techniques that aren’t working – there’s over a decade of real-world proof that validates that it works. Each segment of the VCP Process (Visibility, Credibility, and Profitability) can be broken down and ENTIRE workshops can be taught on how to effectively maneuver through Visibility to Credibility, etc. In other words, entire discussions can be had on how to become (through tactics and techniques) more Visible to YOUR IDEAL TARGET MARKET. This blog series…and the Referral Institute’s 1-4 hour workshops are intended to introduce concepts and give a little explanation on the techniques to use to get the best results from networking. People will get improved results from reading this blog series as well as attending the 1-4 hour workshops. I’ve got 100’s of testimonials that make me proud of what we’re doing to change people’s lives. However, those that REALLY want results and are serious about it, take their relationship with the Referral Institute a step further. I’d be happy to have a conversation about that with you should you choose. In the end, Business Networking is NOT a quick fix to achieve sales goals. It really does take time to build these relationships that will referral to you on a weekly basis. I say this not to discourage you, but to help you understand that surrounding yourself with others who are already successful in implementing a Referral Marketing Plan might be in your best interest….as it will alleviate some potential headaches you’re currently having. Please feel free to reach out to me directly for any assistance you believe you may need. 🙂
