Ditch the Doubt – How to Beat Imposter Syndrome

Imposter syndrome is the persistent feeling of self-doubt and unworthiness, even when there is clear evidence of success. It makes people question their abilities, attributing accomplishments to luck rather than competence. This psychological trap can hold people back from fully embracing their achievements and potential. However, by recognizing these thoughts, reframing self-perception, and adopting strategies to build confidence, individuals can overcome imposter syndrome and step into their success with certainty.

In this video, I give you nine simple and effective steps to deal with that dastardly Imposter Syndrome.

What are your thoughts after watching the video? Did you get a takeaway that will be helpful? I’d like to hear your stories if you want to share in the comments below. Thank you!

  1. Imposter syndrome does not afflict me much at all, but I see it in many others all the time. (I edit written material that needs another set of eyes before publication.) Included in my elevator pitch is this: “You are the SME – subject matter expert – of your own life, personal and professional. Only you have authority and credibility over it.” People stuck in imposter syndrome don’t realize this; it can really make them straighten their shoulders and stand tall.

  2. It s amazing , we do follow this steps unknowingly but by give word in any language , will lead to GROWTH

  3. Perhaps we should run our lives on ethos of inclusivity rather than exclusivity. All teams have to be inclusive to get the best out of everybody. Unfortunately many team members only look to themselves so exclude others and then they feel like impostors when they are in fact more than up to the job, not everybody needs or wants to be top dog.

  4. We all have doubts from time to time. Are we good enough, saying the rights things to our prospect, wanting the sale and wondering if things will go wrong. Success – if we are prepared and really care about the positive outcome it will mean for our prospective client just happens! And we say to ourselves, “Why did we doubt ourselves”?

  5. Avoid the Comparison trap , really has left an imprint on my mind. So many times it has been easy to compare myself to others but after this vlog i begin a journey to the realization that i bring unique value and so comparison is a lie. Thank you sir!
